"Phyrxes once again has a wagon!" (phyrxes)

I was driving home from a school outing this afternoon had a red 948 with an custom plate that said “LS 948" (possibly an antique plate) turn right off Eastbound 211 in Warrenton. Anybody know who owns it and if it is an LS swapped 948 as it certainly sounded like one.

I think you mean 944, it’s just that the owner now calls it a 948 since they swapped the 4-cylinder for a V8. Right?

Could be, I can’t tell most Porsche’s apart from the back unless they are 911s.

Well the 948 never existed unless it’s some obscure chassis number thing that I don’t know about, but LS-swapped 944s are fairly common. The 8 in Porsche 928 is for the V8 engine, so I assume they used the same designation for a cheeky rename of their V8 944.

Makes sense, thanks for clarifying.

I live in Virginia, there’s a car with the plate “BOSS 351", as you would guess, it’s a Toyota Tacoma.
The car with “1933 Ply”? Right. 2006 Ram.
Then there’s the car done up to look like Jimmy Johnson’s NASCAR car except “Lowes” is replaced by “Lords”, and as you would expect it’s a Passat.

I know which car you are talking about, I have seen it up close and with the hood open at the Nokesville Road Burger King Saturdaily cruise-in every now and then.
It is, indeed, equipped with an LS.
